KEETON KIDS SUMMER THEATRE PROGRAM
The Keeton is so excited to announce the return of a summer theater opportunity for children!!!
We’ll be doing our “Keeton Kids Summer Theatre Program” in July.
The mission of the camp is to provide accessible theater education and performing experience for children 6-15 years old. Classes/rehearsals will be on Sundays, July 5th, 12th and 19th from 1:00-5:00pm at The Keeton. There will be a final dress rehearsal on Saturday, July 25th, and two performances of an original musical play on Sunday, July 26th.
There is a $200 fee per child, which covers production expenses, costumes, a T-Shirt, and one complimentary ticket to a performance. We will have an in-person registration day on Saturday, June 6th 10:00am-12:00pm at The Keeton.
*If you are unable to come in person, we will start online registrations on Monday, June 8th.
MEET YOUR DIRECTORS!
Caylin Maguire Gray has been working with children for ten years.
She worked as a PreK teacher for First Steps Inc, toured with Missoula Children’s Theatre as a tour actor director, putting on a musical with a new group of 40-60 children in a new city every week, and she has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for the last year with children on the autism spectrum. Caylin holds a BFA in acting and a minor in directing from Lipscomb University. She co-directed Noises Off at The Keeton in 2024. Her most recent roles as an actress have been State Fair (Emily), Something Rotten (Bea), Songwriter Night (Trish), and the Theatre for Young Audiences show When She Had Wings as the young protagonist, B. As a former Keeton Summer Camp kid, Caylin is so excited to bring youth theatre back to The Keeton. She looks forward to working with your talented young performers!
Jessica Fonville is a music and theatre educator who is passionate about inspiring the next generation to find their voice and experience the joy of the performing arts.
Jessica graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Music and Theatre. During her time there, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the Honors Performance Series and received awards for her work in acting and directing. For the past five years, Jessica has taught elementary music at Columbia Academy, where she also serves as a choir director and has helped lead numerous musical and theatrical productions. She most recently directed The Little Mermaid Jr. this past May! In addition to teaching, Jessica remains active in the local theatre community and has recently appeared in productions with The Keeton Theatre, Watershed Public Theatre, and Franklin Light Opera.
